Cheap Car Insurance: Pothole Alert
A recent survey of 20 councils in the UK revealed some worrying news for those looking to try everything they can to keep a hold of their cheap car insurance. Budget cuts have found that the vast majority of potholes left over from the bad weather last winter have literally been patched up. Short term measures have been taken to fill the hole but the cracks are already beginning to show… literally.
So why does this affect you? Well, if long term measures were put in place then cars would not run the risk of having a pothole breaking up under their tyres and thus causing damage to them. If this happens and an accident is caused then that will put up premiums but there is more cheap car insurance bad news. Whether or not you run into trouble with a pothole, insurers could put up premiums in response to the poor condition of the roads. Either way, make sure that you compare before settling for a policy to ensure that you do not pay too much.
